Andrius Kubilius and Dutch gas giants discuss strategic gas market prospects

Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius and the delegation continue the working visit in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Prime Minister A. Kubilius has met with two huge Dutch gas companies GasTerra and Nederlandse Gasunie at the Lithuanian Embassy in the Hague, where they have discussed gas market developments in Europe and the world, gas prices, as well as prospects for European integration of gas networks, and gas supply.

Today the Agreement on the main conditions of the Concession Agreement of Visaginas nuclear power plant (NPP) has been signed in the Government. The Agreement has been signed by Žygimantas Vaičiūnas, the Head of Concession Tender Commission and the Vice-minister of Energy, and Masaharu Hanyu, the Vice-president of Strategic investor Hitachi, Ltd.

Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius today participated in an opening of the Vilnius Jewish library. “Not knowing what Vilnius was like in the 19th-20th century, before the Holocaust, means not knowing what Vilnius is actually like. This library means great joy, a tragedy and diversity. We have recovered our great asset”, said Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius welcoming everyone at the opening ceremony of the public library.
